For beginning students that are children Inuse FJH Everybody's method book for guitar. For piano, I use My Piano Adventures series. For drums, I personally write the curriculum. In high school, I was blessed with an incredibly patient, thorough and talented choir teacher. He taught me the fundamental building blocks of musicianship as I understand it best. My teaching style is very unique in that its based off improvisation and ear training with music theory lessons. Having just one of the three is a great skill, but developing an ability to read, play and improvise music is what, in my opinion, makes a great musician.
