For beginners through intermediate students I normally use the Rubank Method, Standard of Excellence, Essential Elements, Trevor Wye Tone, and Boehm Method books to start students out on to ensure their success in band class and their affordability for home practice. The method books I listed before really give students a good sense of technique, theory, history, and phrasing as a early musician, and with my guidence my students can really work and learn fast.
