Many teachers (especially for guitar/ukulele) simply play along with students to pre-recorded songs or songs that the student picks. My primary instrument is oboe. I have studied with several successful oboists and earned a master's degree in oboe performance from Bowling Green State University, studying with Dr. Nermis Mieses. While earning my degree I took lessons and participated in masterclasses with some of the most successful oboists in the country.
