I am interested in helping cellists of all levels to achieve their artistic and musical aspirations and goals. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals and providing appropriate music for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I posses extensive classical music and music pedagogy trainings. All my musical knowledge and expertise was attained in Eastern Europe. I play and teach piano, upright bass, bass guitar and a range of other instruments. Over the years I taught basic piano, the beginner violin, viola, cello and a variety of school instruments such as recorder and xylophone. I'm a passionate and professional cello instructor who loves working with students. I just moved to New York area due to my husband's job. I'm receiving my Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in this coming May 2020. In 2017, I graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music with a Master's Degree in Music. I have taught at Heidelberg University for 4 years. My teaching career started during my undergraduate degree at Juilliard where I was deeply involved with several educational programs, both in and out of Juilliard. I taught cello at the Union City Music Project, The Washington Heights Conservatory, the MAP pre-college program at Juilliard, and also taught privately. I offer the option for students to send me practice progress videos during the week so that I may comment on any questions that may arise in between lessons. I have found that this pushes students to keep a regular practice routine, and also develops their ability to self-critique and correct their own playing. I open the door for my students with a strong technical instruction, and encourage them to walk through that "door" and develop their musical expression and curiosity.
