I am a performer and educator based in Long Beach, CA. I received my Bachelor's of Music in Cello Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of 2021. I have been very passionate about teaching cello since I started in 2016. I have performed in several venues in Southern California as a soloist, as well as in orchestral and chamber ensembles. For ages 6 to 8, I offer Musical Safari, an overview of many instruments with basis in theory, solfege and reading, helping children and parents make the right choice of instruments based on the student's interest. Together, we set small realistic goals and acknowledge accompishments with small rewards in order to nurture and embolden each student. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements book, as well a basic understanding of music. Once the student has progressed to have a nice grasp of the fundamentals of music, I usually begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I have performed in a wide variety of contexts throughout my life including professional symphonies and popular music ensembles.
