Hi, I'm Josh! I've been involved in music since I was 11 years old. When I was 15, I began to focus on guitar and by 17 knew that I would be pursuing a career in music. I attended Manhattanville College for guitar a few years before switching his focus to the Chapman Stick and being presented with an opportunity to perform with his old band And The Traveler. With And The Traveler, I began gaining notoriety for my playing around the American Northeast region, eventually leading to becoming the youngest Stick Enterprises featured artist in 2013 for both my playing and his instructional YouTube series “Stick Science.” I also taught at the Northeast Stick Seminar 2014 alongside Greg Howard and Brett Bottomley. Learning an instrument is more than showing up for one hour each week. Practice is everything. I feel that my methodology encourages students to take on the instrument head on and learn how to solve problems on their own so that they can practice and improve more quickly. Read More

As I picked up students through word-of-mouth referrals, friends, and fellow church members, I was able to take students through the rudiments of guitar, and in some cases produced some very advanced players. My teaching experience in Chelsea High School enabled me to take roughly 1800 students through basic guitar; again, some of these really caught fire and are pursuing guitar passionately through their bands. I do encourage regular practice for my students, as this is really where learning takes place, especially on a physical level. Read More
