Young children and beginners on the guitar need to slowly develop strength and control of finger movements, while still being motivated when they learn how to play along with their favorite songs. Intermediate players often need help to get into a smooth flowing groove, to lock in with a rhythm or to phrase melodies. I have been teaching music since I was 18 years old and have been doing it as my only source of income since 2010. The majority of my teaching was at a music school where I did individual lessons and seasonal group sessions. There I would pick 18-25 songs, cast students on parts, work on the songs for 3-4 months, and then put on a big concert. A few examples of shows I have directed are Iron Maiden, best of the 80s, Prog Rock, Global Metal, History of Punk, Grunge, Motown, Soundtracks show (music from film, TV, and video games), Devo, Rush, and many many more.
