Evan graduated from Berklee in 2011 and Evan has split the last several years between studio gigs and touring with renown international acts. Evan has worked as the live and studio bassist for Jazz/Pop vocalist Nikki Yanofsky, the touring bassist for Country singer Nicole Frechette, the bassist and songwriter for RB group Biscuits Gravy, and tours with Virtuoso Guitarist Johnny A. While there is no "One-size-fits-all" for all students, I start most students off with Essential Elements or Suzuki. As they progress I try to include pieces they like, pop songs, and different genres. The variety helps them stay engaged, learn a bit about different styles to broaden their knowledge, but also, have fun. As they get intermediate levels the paths diverge. He has achieved a Master of Music degree in Classical Guitar and a Master of Music degree in Music Theory, both from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). He previously had earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, double-majoring in Guitar Performance and Economics Management. My philosophy is that everyone is musical to some degree and that anyone can be taught to play music. Not everyone can be taught the same way, however, and it takes a highly skilled, creative, intuitive and patient teacher to do that. I customize my teaching to the student.  I use several different method books depending on the age, ability and learning style of the student.
