Having grown up the second oldest of five siblings, I understand how to relate to other people and work with them even in difficult situations. You must spend time and practice in order to see improvements. Developing a weekly practice chart is something I like to implement in my lessons. Using positive reinforcement and rewards such as stickers, or sometimes candy can be very helpful to some. I try to find out what inspires my students and I do not try to mask who I am. I use a variety of different methods and I tailor my curriculum to each individual student, offering you a personalized approach that is unique to your personality and learning style. I teach repertoire from the Suzuki Violin School and Barbara Barber's Solos for Young Violinists, I also like to incorporate other styles if the student is interested, such as fiddle and bluegrass, and even pop and Disney songs. I also use etude and scale books to help build and enhance certain techniques, such as Wolfhart Etudes, Barber Barber Scales for Young Violinist, Carl Flesch Scale System, etc., depending on the level and individual needs of the student.
