I believe beginner students should be practicing with this book every day. When they are ready to start learning pieces, I really like to use the Suzuki books. My first violin student started with me 9 years ago during my undergraduate studies in Utah. I realized that teaching is much different than performing and started taking classes to be a better instructor. I grew up studying the Suzuki books and have registered Violin Teacher Training Units 1-4 with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I studied in Spain, where I won several chamber music competitions, until 2007. When I was 19 I moved to London to continue my studies at the Guildhall School of Music Drama with professors Sven Arne Tepl and Rachel Roberts where I attained a Bachelor of Music with Honours 2:1. In 2011 I was finalist in the Max and Peggy Morgan Competition. Following my Bachelors degree, I completed a Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music under professor Jonathan Barritt and was awarded this in 2014. Read More
