I completed my Bachelor and Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Juilliard School and began my teaching career coaching pre-college students in various strings ensemble classes as a Teaching Assistant. I'm a young musician who has been working hard at the teaching game since I was 16. I've been playing piano for 18 years, cello for 14 years, and violin/viola/bass for 6. I'm studying Music Education to become certified to teach ensembles in schools. My personality is: fun, curious, honest, emotive, and playful. For younger students I like to give them weekly practice charts so they can see how much work they're putting in. If they complete enough practice charts, they get a reward. I find this is very helpful in the beginning stages of learning for younger musicians. For older students, I really nudge them to take auditions for a higher seat at school, or depending on how serious they are for youth orchestras and summer programs. Read More
