I am a young but very experienced instructor and vocalist. I am currently completing my vocal performance degree at Duquesne University. When not teaching, I perform with the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Chancel Choir, and I cantor Mass at St. Benedict the Abbot in Peters Township and St. Louise de Marillac in Bethel Park. This was an eye-opening experience as I learned various techniques and styles from some very talented and well-known musicians.I studied music theory and jazz improvisation at Newtown High School in Sandy Hook, CT before going on to obtain my B.S. in Justice and Law Administration from WCSU, graduating in 2013 (the backup plan every family member suggested). I started learning to play guitar when I was about 6 years old. Had a few uncles who taught me how to strum a few chords here and there, and then went through about 4 actual guitar teachers before I found the one that really helped me the most. He helped me enjoy what I was learning. That was the game changer in my playing! I am an acoustic percussive guitarist currently working in the greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. I have been teaching guitar almost as long as I've been playing guitar, starting with just friends and family but eventually moving on to support myself as a private instructor. I have apprenticed with UDC Jazz Band Guitarist Pete Muldoon and Matt Kelley (of the blues band "Big Boy Little").
