Recored composed and performed sound track for non-profit fund fundraising film “Another Day For Teresa” RCA recording studios 1971, Decision to pursue guitar and vocal performance as a career and has continued until present time. 1975, Tampa FL, 1st place talent competition, began professional performing career. 1976-1981, Guitar instructor and vocal studies at Carbonnell Conservatory of music 1976-1982, Tampa, opening act for Judy Collins, The Pure Prairie League, Dave Mason, and Lou Rawls, Tampa Bay Super Bowl. 1985, Wrote, produced and recored first album "Open Highway". 1991-1999-Adjunct guitar instructor Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg VA 1999- Received certification to teach“Suzuki Method of Teaching Guitar”, 1981, Started Michael Geddes Productions, writing and producing jingles for radio and television in greater Tampa Bay area. 1984-2001-Key performer at Massenuttten Resort, Skyland, and Big Meadows in the Shenandoah National park. 1998-Voice, James Madison University, 1985-2017 Written, recorded 5 Cassette and 3 CDs recordings of original music. My music training experience includes courses at J Seargent Reynolds Community College. My course of study included music therapy, engineering and communications. I began playing the guitar 15 years ago, and have continued to improve my gift with learning Classical Music and the Bass. My range of teaching is not limited to adults. Work on picking and speed and most importantly touch and feel. Learn to play in rhythm, with a metronome. Work on Finger picking as well, learn to use all 5 fingers on your right hand. or use the pick and 3 fingers, with me you WILL use your pinky or little finger, on both hands. Learn to read song charts, and notation and tab. Learn to work on speed, strength, stamina, play songs you like all the way from beginning to end. Read More

Adult students I have taught typically want to learn to do two things: 1) accompany themselves on an instrument while singing a popular song or 2) learn to play with others ... whether that be a jam session during a jazz set ... or playing behind someone else that is singing or playing a lead instrument. For these adult learners I lean toward teaching chords, arpeggios and scales. Important: I suggest that a student only practice 15 to 20 minutes a day ... whatever amount of time it takes to cover the lesson. Read More
