Students don't learn if they don't feel motivated or enjoy what they are doing. Therefore, I make it a point to set an agenda in each lesson that starts and ends with something fun, and is also predictable so that students know intuitively how to go about their practicing. I am currently enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado for a Doctor of Arts in Saxophone Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Pedagogy. I began teaching private lessons in Chicago in 2002, while in an Educational Administration Masters Program at DePaul University.
