I encourage my students to be technically proficient, musically literate, and good listeners. Having these core fundamentals down prepares my students to be able to play any style of music they choose. I began teaching private lessons when I was 18 years old. I have taught all ages of students at all levels. I have successfully taught students with ADHD. I adapt the lesson to the student to find how they will learn best. I encourage creativity and challenge students to try composing their own music. I have been a K-12 teacher at Lake County School District #7 in Oregon. I graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Music Education at The University of Akron.
