I started violin lessons at age 7, after 2 years of begging my mom! I can still remember that blustery Saturday morning in November when I had my first lesson, and since then, I have learned so much. I joined the studio orchestra after just a year of lessons, then began teacher training and luthier (violin repair) classes in high school. I took a break from teaching while getting my bachelor's degree, but continued while I got my master's. Read More

I guide my students through proper posture, bowing techniques, finger placement, and intonation, ensuring they master the fundamental aspects of playing the viola. I emphasize the importance of practice and provide effective strategies to help them overcome challenges and develop dexterity and control over their instrument. Therefore like to have my students play scales and etudes, with usually some Bach, a concerti, and a sonata if they have the time. Read More

They were sixth graders, and I would occasionally work with seventh and eighth graders. In my senior year, I was working with all three grades of middle schoolers and I was working with high schoolers, and giving lessons.
