Last Spring, I graduated from the University of Louisville where I received my Master of Music Degree in Guitar Performance and Pedagogy. My love of and passion for music, education, and creativity since becoming a professional musician has transformed into a way of life. I am a hyperactive musician who is currently performing, composing, transcribing, arranging, lecturing, instructing, and recording. My biggest method I will focus on is learning music by ear and applying that to the other various aspects of music, like reading and writing. I feel that being able to play music fluently by ear is a skill most musicians tend to lack at times, and isn’t really a focus on in say a high school band or orchestra setting. I began teaching myself to play Guitar as a teenager and eventually taught myself to play other instruments as well. During this time I would learn all of my favorite songs by ear or with the help of tabs. Once I had started attending the Academy of Contemporary Music I learned more advanced music theory that relates to general music and Guitar.
