I teach piano voice and guitar. I have a bachelors in music therapy from Loyola university. I have 3 years experience teaching private lessons. I also taught general music at ridgewood prep for a year. I currently am activities coordinator at Lambeth House and teach music lessons on the side. My main instrument at Loyola was voice. For beginning students, I vary my teaching methods quite a bit. I often take on students in households that already have method books purchased, and I have never had an issue with using them. At times, more books are needed, but I will allow the student to utilize these already-owned options, as I myself will supplement extra music. I have taught dozens students from over 20 countries about songwriting, guitar playing, singing, lyric writing, piano, ukulele and more. Since 2011 I have played in over 1000 stages, starting in my hometown of Corrientes, Argentina, at first playing on the streets for tips and later moving onto bars, later theaters, and now touring full time. Teaching has always been something I have gravitated towards, specially after several requests from my listeners. How to we use this power rightly? Lastly, I teach discipline with direction. Without the student's self-discipline of practice, there will be no growth. The student must be diligent to practice. After I graduated from Roosevelt University I had more time outside of academics to start a teaching practice. In 2011, I worked at Lynn Marcel School of Fine Arts in Hillside, IL. As a drum instructor I helped design a corruculum plan and taught younger students ages 8-14.
