I first began teaching at the age of sixteen. I was hired to work at Berkshire Summer Music, a music camp for talented young children. I worked as a violin and viola instructor, teaching children of all ages, assisting with their technique and helped develop good practicing habits. I hold a masters degree in viola performance from Florida State University and bachelors degrees in both music performance and business administration from Northwestern State University. I have been the recipient of several scholarships and positions that demonstrate my academic and performance distinction. I have performed in an array of concert venues in the United States and internationally in both solo and collaborative contexts. Moises is passionate about teaching and educational outreach, and has given numerous masterclasses in schools in the United States and Brazil. He has given masterclasses at FUNDARTE and Pelotas Federal University, and frequently presents masterclasses and coaches chamber music and orchestra sectionals to the Orquestra Jovem Recanto Maestro in Brazil. Moises is Artist-Faculty of the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, teaching chamber music and working with the youth orchestra in rehearsals and sectionals. Read More

Drums are my favorite instrument to play and I approach music trying to understand how all the instruments fit together. I was classically trained on violin from the time I was 6 years old and have since taught myself drums, guitar, electric bass, vocals, ukulele and some piano. I see now how all the instruments are related. They all share the same scales and notes and theory, and if you want you can play any music on any instrument. I have been teaching as a side-gig and hobby for almost as long as I've been playing! It started with friends in the neighborhood approaching me for advice on how to get started playing guitar.
