Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

While keeping the fingers down and close to the fingerboard, the student may gradually build up the tempo using a variety of different bowings and rhythmic groupings. I strongly encourage students to balance their practice by studying scores, reading books and articles about music and other subjects, and attending concerts, master classes and lessons from their peers. I first began teaching at the age of sixteen. I was hired to work at Berkshire Summer Music, a music camp for talented young children. I worked as a violin and viola instructor, teaching children of all ages, assisting with their technique and helped develop good practicing habits. As a drummer, I keep a smooth shuffle currently for 3 different rhythm blues bands who perform around New Orleans' Frenchmen Street and other top venues. I've also clocked studio sessions on bass, keys, violin, and viola. Viola and Violin came into my life as an adult and committed myself for 5+ to conquering the difficult fundamentals of these rewarding instruments. For beginning students, I like to start with a combination of the Suzuki method and Essential Elements. As the student progresses, I will introduce solo repertoire according to their level. For adults, I will start with basic musical training and then we will move on to a repertoire that the student is interested in learning.
