Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For beginning students enrolled in their school band program, I start with their materials required from class. If a student is not enrolled in a band program, I typically start with Standards of Excellence or Measures of Success methods depending on individual needs. I will also suggest additional methods of scale and repertoire study as students progress for solo performances. For beginning piano students, I use the Alfred Basic Piano course. Read More

From the start of my career, I have been teaching private lessons since I was a senior in High school. I then further my teaching abilities once I graduated from college and start to teach in the classroom in 2011 in Memphis TN. I have been teaching consistently since 2011. I am a non traditional master's student who returned to earn a music degree in my forties. I have taken a year off from master's work to transfer to a different program. I've been fortunate enough to study or perform in master classes with some of the biggest names in the saxophone world. My primary professors have been Allen Rippe, Douglas Owens, and Mark McArthur.
