I am a Vietnamese-American saxophonist, pianist, composer, producer, and educator from Seattle, WA. I played lead alto saxophone in the jazz band at Garfield High School under the direction of the renowned Clarence Acox, and received a soloist award as well as a saxophone section award at Essentially Ellington jazz festival at Lincoln Center in New York in 2013. In 2018, I graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music, receiving my Bachelor of Music with concentrates in Contemporary Writing Production and Film Scoring on a saxophone scholarship. My entire life, I have been dedicated to the study of music. From my early childhood education to present day gigs and songwriting, music has always been a centerpiece of my life. I have performed all around the world and am incredibly grateful for the learning experiences I have been blessed with. Through my undergraduate and graduate school years, I have held secular and liturgical studios and teaching experience in many varieties. I have had 6 years' experience as a choir director and 6 years alongside that as a private piano teacher. My specialty is classical music, but I believe that music as a cultural language can cross much more than disciplines, and I encourage that mindset with my students.
