Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Voice
I emphasize breathing techniques to free up the voice to expand your range and ease of singing. In the lesson, we start with simple warm ups and vocalizes and then apply techniques to the songs you want to sing. I realize each student is different and I customize the lesson to the student's particular needs. I specialize in classical and music theater, however the basics of singing apply to all styles of music. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Bass Guitar
I have given lessons over the years at middle schools and privately and enjoy seeing a student put in the work and hear them play what the songs/ riffs they wanted too. I have the capacity to record yourself and accompany you on keyboards or drums and can build on that. I have a team to bring your ideas and creativity to life and for everyone to see and hear or it can all be just for you. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Drums
The way I teach is about showing the student "the dance" of drums. The exercises and rudiments they practice are the movements in a dance. For example, with Punk drums the movements need to be mastered and played fast so the student will have to practice to get the movements up to speed instead of focusing on the beat. With Pop drums the movements need to be comfortable but precise as the student learns the importance of a metronome and how to relate to it by thinking of it as a member of the band. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Ukulele, Keyboard, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
The methods I use change depending on the student, but generally, I use the following: - Piano: start with Alfreds (suited for age/proficiency), then choose a specialty (improvising, classical, pop, etc) - Guitar: start with Hal Leonard (for note reading), then choose a specialty (jazz, pop, classical, flamenco, etc) - Voice: because of the nature of the human voice, I dont use a book, but rather teach principles and methods to use during practice and performance Regardless of the instrument, I hope to help you improve as much as I can. Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Bass Guitar, Electric Violin
I treat each student uniquely and create lessons that will help them achieve their individual goal. I love to make music fun and encourage students to create their own music. I love getting technical if students want to learn music theory and how to write and read music, but I am very open to staying simple if the student solely wants to learn how to play chord changes and learn songs.
