In the style of my teachers, I like to start the lesson by reviewing the concepts discussed in the last lesson. After reviewing we will build on those topics with new ideas and skills. Lessons are light, upbeat and informal, with many opportunities for parent participation if desired (when applicable). Students are encouraged to experiment with their instruments and to pursue their favorite musical styles. Adult Students are eligible for Performance Field trips and other learning opportunities  at no extra cost. I have been teaching since February of 2019. Beginner high school players, more specifically. Working with absolute beginners has given me the tools to be patient with someones success. Everyone learns at a different pace. I am strict in my methods, but casual in my demeanor. No intimidation, no rushing, only my care for your progress. I taught group guitar lessons to camp students. I like to teach at your pace. If you want me to teach you songs, we can learn tabs and chords. Also, I can teach fundamental music theory which includes things like scales so you can solo on your guitar in certain keys of the song. The theory will also tell you which chords you can play, so if someone says play in G minor, you know what notes are the right ones to play. Read More
