For beginning students, I begin with basic open chords and scales. Once the student has basic chords down I like to teach them a song of there choosing. I've been playing trombone professional for almost 20 years, my most recent gigs were playing for Princess Cruises full time, and been teaching for 20 years. My passion for playing isn't what it used to be, so I'm focusing my musical efforts on teaching. After we get to a certain point I like to introduce my teaching method along with solo pieces for the student to work on.
