It is a great joy to see students learn, grow, and have fun! I begin by asking the student of their goals, and eventually help them develop new goals as they explore and find their unique gifts. Students are provided with a unique, well-rounded program tailored for them, including the foundational resources and understanding needed to fly with other musicians. During my undergraduate, I began my teaching experience in a flute pedagogy class, where I realized I had a passion not only for playing the flute but teaching as well. Upon graduation, I moved back home to Sturgeon Bay, WI, where I started my private teaching studio. I've been teaching from as early as middle school. I had my first two bassoon students in middle school. Throughout high school I was a teachers assistant to my band and choir directors and frequently led sectionals, class activities or solo lessons. I will start to present solo repetoire suitable for their first recital show when a student has gained an understanding of the basics.
