I have taught high school and middle school students of all ages, and even adults who were looking to pick up the flute after retirement. I'm a licensed teacher that enjoys sharing my passion for music. In December 2016, I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education. Performing as part of Cedar Creek Community Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra Pit has given me a variety of experiences to inform my teaching. It was a privilege to inspire these kids to achieve new horizons in their lives, telling them that if they put effort into their flute playing they could go to college for free (like I did), and eventually earn a living in such a beautiful profession. I have been an adjunct professor of music at a local since August 2015 and the flute professor at another college since January of 2017. I hope to influence the upcoming generations of students the same way that professors have influence me in the past. Read More

I graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible Collage and took my flute lessons at Belmont University. I have had the privilege of playing with several groups including; the Tupelo MS symphony orchestra, Belmont orchestra, the Belmont Opera company, the Nashville Philharmonic and the Philharmonic flute choir. I have accompanied several choirs, and played at several weddings. I started teaching some younger players in High School, and after that I focused on getting my own skill in the upward projectory. I love to see kids progress in music and become excited about it!! My teaching style is very paced and hands on. If a student isn't getting something, I like to slow it down until they they do. I'm very complimentary and positive during lessons; this helps the student be confident.
