There will be supplemental materials, especially for more advanced students, that are instrument specific such as etudes and technical exercises. We will continue focusing on band literature, contemporary, classical, or solo literature depending on the goals of the students and their interests. I was also in the Ad-Libitum woodwind quintet and during my three years in that ensemble, I received master classes with the Berlin Philharmonic woodwind Quintet in two music festivals and Arturo Marquez in another festival. There is no reason for music lessons to be dreary, almost all of my students enjoy their lessons and have no problem coming back week after week to be challenged again.
