My primary goal with younger students is to inspire and develop their own interest in music. Consistent practice is much easier to accomplish when the student wants to improve on his/her own, rather than viewing practice as another homework assignment. My style is very personal and decorated around the specific goals of the student. I utilize several lesson books that I have already purchased, however I also create pertinent lesson plans personally. Some are created right on the spot as we are in the lesson itself. I find that this gives the student a more specifically specialized guide for their direct needs surrounding any subject matter. Living in the age of technology, there are so many ways to make learning fun and interesting for students.
