I have a Master of Music in Saxophone performance from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Music Education from The Ohio State University. For young beginners, I make use the method book that is being used at their school as well as supplying materials specifically for their instrument. As the student progresses, he/she will be introduced to solo repertoire as well advance method books for recital and competitive purposes. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University in 1989. I firmly believe in an individual approach to each student, highlighting that student's strengths while encouraging improvement. If a student struggles with a particular aspect of playing, I will select the techniques that will hone his or her abilities best and produce a desired outcome.
