Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years, as weII as teaching at SchooI of Rock Green VaIIey for 3 years. I started learning at the age of 11 and studied all through out high school. I studied with various local teachers after High School and met Mike Mangini in 1999 at a drum clinic. I was blown away with his expertise and was encouraged by him to learn jazz. I entered Berklee in 2004 where I met Rick Considine and studied with him for a year after he mentioned three of my favorite rock drummers in one sentence. Read More

I am really passionate when it comes to teaching and performing. In 2012, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor's degree on Performance and a minor in Latin Studies and Performance. I had the opportunity to performe with musicians from all over the world playing different styles such as latin, jazz, rock, blues, chamber, pop and world music. As previously mentioned, i do believe in the saying that the best you can do is good enough. I expect students to practice equal to the amount they wish to improve. How quickly or slowly someone grows on their instrument is often a simple result of time spent working. But making music is incredibly fun and i make every effort to keep the time spent doing the study fun. For the drums i tend to buy into the philosophy that playing a first complete rhythm on the drumset as soon as possible, regardless of how basic it may be is important for keeping a student motivated. My teaching methods vary from student to student. First, I find assessing the students' interests and musical goals paramount to building a lesson plan. Since every student is at a different stage in their musical career, our goals will vary from becoming a full time pro to being a weekend warrior.
