Every student is different, with different goals, different passions, and different backgrounds. So every student needs a different teaching method. I prefer to spend some time in the first lesson getting to know the student and his or her background to determine what specific methods work best for them. I like to put concepts into a musical application as soon as we can. Once the student has a grasp of the basic 4/4 pattern, I have them loop it while I accompany them on bass or guitar. Read More

My teaching experience started In my first job back in 2014, when I was a choir director and music teacher in percussion and music initiation In the Orchestral and Choir system for Children and Teenagers Fundamusical Simón Bolivar known as "El sistema" from Venezuela. Since them, I,ve been constantly teaching public and private lessons to children and teenagers of all ages. I like to start out with extremely simple fundamentals which can then be seen in most every piece of music. Connections like that are important for any student. For younger students I heavily emphasize just having fun, and that every lesson they can go home and say 'look mom/dad at what I can do!' I believe that keeping students interested and focused on having fun while learning new material and techniques is the best strategy to ensure growth as a musician. Read More
