I have been teaching for 5 years in both private lesson situations and and group lesson situations. I enjoy teaching beginner piano and flute and teaching all levels on the clarinet and saxophones. I have taught in both the classical and jazz idioms. I have taught as young as seven and as old as seventh and I enjoy seeing what curious students bring to the lesson. Since I have such limited teaching experience, it is impossible to define my teaching style. I do love the instrument. It enabled me to get into the Air Force Band and legally avoid serving in combat during wartime. It has also been a source of pleasure for decades. I have been teaching others music since I was in college. My love for music education comes from the great opportunities I had at a very young age to work with amazing conductors and music educators in New Jersey, as part of the All State and regional bands.
