Outside of performing and learning for myself, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with younger musicians! I have taught privately for 9 years, and was a Camp Counselor at the University of Wyoming Summer Music Camp from 2013 - 2015, and the Head Camp Counselor at the same camp in 2016. Since moving to Texas I teach lessons at multiple high schools in DFW. Having the opportunity to teach and watch younger musicians grow is one of the reasons I continue to pursue music. Read More

I don't have many official teaching experiences, except for my student observing classes. For a class we had to drive to some middle school and high school for a year, attend about 4hrs and help the bands in these schools. I was able to help at Robstown High School and Seale middle school, and got the opportunity to help their clarinet sections as much as possible. I also attended HMK High school and Gillette Middle School, here I was able to work with all instrument players but focus more on music theory. Read More

Saxophone/flute: Any beginning band method book or standard beginning to intermediate woodwind book. Appropriate repertoire. Piano: I use most beginning methods, including Alfred, Bastien, Piano Adventures (Faber), and other standard piano methods. I traveled to California for college, where I received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Biola University. While in college, I continued engraving, was hired to compose music for musical plays, taught piano privately, and directed the music at my church. After college, I moved back to San Antonio and started a music program that has expanded throughout south Texas. HOST Orchestra offers group ensembles in Orchestra, Band, Strings, Guitar and Choir.
