Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I work for Fresno Unified as a certificated substitute teacher and am getting my teaching credentials, so I am used to working with students of all ages as well as adults. For the beginning students we start learning all the fundamentals and details of the bass ie; string names, notes on the fingerboard, right and left hand technique, and how to get the sounds you are striving for on the bass. For more intermediate to advanced students, we learn to apply all modes, scales, chords etc... in creating walking bass lines, funk and groove lines, and how to solo over chord changes. Read More

For years 1 & 2, we will go through the "red" and "blue" books (Standard of Excellence) together, in order to formulate the right habits with embouchure, breathing, posture, and learning to read and play the correct notes. Once some headway has been made, we can begin "Arban's" for technical studies, Bai Lin's "Lip Flexibilities" for advance warm up and excersies, and Rochut's "Melodious Etudes" for solo material. I started teaching when I was in high school, I began by teaching young students ranging from 5 years old to teenagers. As I started attending college, my students' age spectrum expanded into adults and even seniors. Through these experiences, I have learned to mold my teaching skills according to the students' needs and cater an enjoyable, and yet, challenging lesson. I'm using Suzuki method, it is based with principle of rhythmic and auditory education that uses the instrument to approach music.
