I have been teaching for 4 years since receiving my Masters in Music degree from NYU. I have worked with singers ranging from age 5 to age 86, beginners to professionals. I combine classical techniques and universal singing foundations with any style my student wants to learn. I enjoy teaching each student in a unique and personalized style. I combine music theory into my voice lessons to help students gain greater musicality skills. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Ukulele, Recorder, Keyboard
I like to create my own lesson plans depending on the ability of the student. For a beginning student who is a child, Disney songs are a good choice. Depending on the style the student is interested in, first book of solos (s,a,t,b) and then second book of solos (s,a,t,b). Then I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate to the students genre interest. Read More

Every student learns at their own pace, and in their own way. Discovering what type of learner your student is (kinesthetic, auditive, visual), is essential in providing examples and assignments for the student to work on. I do believe that with encouragement and patience, anyone can learn the noble art that is the language of music, you just have to find and fuel the student's interests, make that flame grow into a passion, and then lead with the example, 99% of the time the student will follow, the other 1% of the time you just need to get creative :) Read More
Instruments: Voice
I've taught voice at Northwest University for the past 5 years. In 2010, I joined the faculty of the Bellevue School of Music, and last fall began teaching at the Gene Nastri Community School of the Arts in Mukilteo. I also conduct a church choir. I believe strongly that it is important for anyone who sings to study classical technique, regardless of what style of singing they wish to do. It is the best way to maximize the potential of the voice, and to keep it healthy in the long run. Read More
