Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I adjust my teaching style to compliment each student individually. My goal is for each student to enjoy playing their instrument, but I believe that the personal improvement of each student is vital for their continued interest and passion. I take it upon myself to make sure that my teaching is resulting in personal enjoyment and improvement! My teaching experience dates back to my student teaching experience in 1979 from Truman State University. From Truman State University I went on to teach public school Orchestra in Helena, Montana, Kansas City, Missouri area, Marshall, Missouri, Kirksville, Missouri, and finally to Fulton, Missouri. I have a total teaching experience of 37 years in both the public school setting and in my private studio. I am a 22 year old mother of a 3 almost 4 year old! I have been a stay at home mom since COVID began but would love to get back into lessons. I have given lessons for several years through my old schools orchestra! Violin is my top instrument. Its where most of my performances came from. For beginning students, I incorporate Mimi Zweig's teaching philosophies as well as those from the Suzuki method. From there we build progressively according to the needs of the individual student. I generally follow the ASTA guidelines for recommended literature and progression. The pieces that students play in the beginning are important because they each teach an essential skill for string playing. Once a student has mastered the fundamentals and made enough progress, they are free to help choose which pieces they would like to work on. Read More
