I am a professional musician and teacher. I graduated from CSU in 2014 and received my degree in music education, certification in private lessons, and certification in composition. Since graduating CSU I've performed as the Principal Violist of the Parker Symphony for 4 years, been an active member of a string quartet, played in multiple bands, and have also played with members of the band Devotchka. I was then invited to move back to my college town of Brookings, South Dakota to be their middle school band director. I hold four degrees in violin performance and have been teaching for nineteen years. I have worked with students ages 2-adult. I have trained students to be professional violinists and worked with countless beginners and amateurs. I enjoy working with all ages and levels. I teach a mixture of Traditional and Suzuki Methods. I then transition to Suzuki repertoire. I also include music individual to each student based on their interests. My methods are flexible and designed to draw out the strengths of each student.
