I use probably more of the Faber series than any other, but also use Bastien and Alfred piano books. I sometimes recommend all four,(Lesson, Theory, Tecnique, Performance) but often just use two - Lesson and Theory. Most kids can handle 3 songs a week, but sometimes only 2. I move methodically through the books, making sure they understand thoroughly an idea before moving too quickly ahead. I love music and love creating music experiences with others. I was in the I violin section in the Fairbanks Symphony orchestra the last few years. I received my Suzuki Teacher Certification for Violin books 1-6 in 2018. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Violin Performance in May of 2016. But I also refer to several fiddle methods including Craig Duncan's books, "American Fiddle Method" and "Kid Fiddle" for students who wish to learn fiddle tunes. Throughout the years I have published a number of articles for professional music educator associations.
