I am a devoted musician and private lesson instructor in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sharing my love for music with my students is a passion of mine, and I strive to help my students achieve success every day. I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education in May 2020. For all of my beginning students I use the Suzuki method. I am a very fast paced teacher, and I hold all of my students to high standards. As my students get into more advanced music, I select solo literature that best fits their musical abilities. For my vocal students I select music that is appropriate for them from the very beginning. For my male vocal students, I coach them through the voice change, which is a rewarding experience for me. My teaching method is based on Ivan Galamian and Dorothy Delay's teaching styles and tailoring it to the student's needs. For beginning to intermediate students, I focus my teaching on fundamental basics and techniques, tailoring the exercises and etudes based on the repertoire of each student. With more advanced students, I shift the emphasis towards music-making (color, character, pacing, phrasing), with a focus on efficient and effective combinations of sounding point, bow speeds, bow distribution and vibrato. I started teaching private lessons when I was in high school and continued throughout my time in college and beyond. I have taught beginners of all ages as well as more advanced students, and have led group classes. I bring all my love for music to the lesson, and practice empathy and kindness with my students.
