My teaching style is student oriented meaning the more questions you bring me the better. I will allow students to learn at their own pace. For younger students I allow them to explor the instrument while showing them how to hold it and play. For older students I teach simple songs as well as scales and arpeggios. I am from the Columbus, Ohio region and am receiving my Bachelors in Music Education in May 2021 with my primary instrument being saxophone. I am extremely close to my family, living with my mom, grandpa, and three sisters. I enjoy being outside and reading in my free time. For students who are already in an instrumental program through school, I will start with whatever method book they are using at school, and branch off from there. Depending on the instrument, I will bring in another method book specific to that instrument book and we will also use some sort of etude book. The etudes may be classical in nature or more modern music. For older students, I will help them prepare Solo and Ensemble pieces as well. Read More
