As the student progresses through the book, I will introduce pieces of repertoire that reflect the student's abilities. Students are more than welcome to share music that they would like to learn, which is important in maintaining their passion for playing. My first experience teaching was during the summer when I began instructing swim lessons for the town pool. I quicly began to seek out a way to teach music before I was in college and built a small studio of beginner cellists in my home town. I also began performing in both classical and other styles during this time, something I continue to do today.
