What’s important is to strike a balance of activities that works for the student, engaging their desire to learn while giving them the structure necessary for success. I started teaching private lessons when I was in high school and continued throughout my time in college and beyond. I have taught beginners of all ages as well as more advanced students, and have led group classes. I bring all my love for music to the lesson, and practice empathy and kindness with my students.
