The most important relationship is one between a student and a teacher. I like to be extremely approachable and easy going so everyone can be as comfortable as possible. I make myself easily accessible, whether it be with phone calls, text messages, emails, etc. I am fair and respectful to all of my students (The Golden Rule!) and I am extremely detail-oriented and organized so there is always a plan and a goal in place for every lesson. Also, two piano works I composed during my time at Long Island University were performed by Professor David Holzman. Read More

Music, for me, is more than a profession; it is a way of life. I graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with my Bachelors in Trombone Performance. I love to introduce young students to the exciting and ever evolving world of music. Performance has enabled me to participate in unforgettable moments, like playing in Davies Symphony Hall, the Berlin Philharmoniker, and various other venues accross the world. I wish to give my students the skills needed to have these experiences for themselves. Read More

Such would be highly counterproductive. Beyond the sometimes opaque nature of helping improve one's physical dexterity on the instrument, the ultimate emphasis I wish to impress in this art form is enjoyment. Correct performance should never feel like a chore, and teaching deserves the same attitude and outcome. Read More

I am a very patient teacher and I understand that students learn at different paces. Therefore I set realistic goals that the student can achieve and WANT to achieve. By setting a goal they can and want to achieve through 10-15 minute practices over 3, 4, 5, or even 6 days a week, it pushes the student to put in the minimal work to progress and grow to be the musician they want too be or even didn't know they could be.
