One of the most rewarding expeiences in teaching for me is to see the look on a student's face when they "get it". What a thrill to instill a love of music and learning in a student. I set realistic goals and always give them something to work towards (recital, concert, etc). I listen to my students to discover what motivates them toward further learning. All my students learn a solid foundation while facilitating room for individuality and creativity.
