Now fast-forward to March 2021, I was hired by Presidio ISD to teach middle school band. From then until May 2022, I got to teach middle school band along with choir and mariachi. I also occasionally helped at the local high school. What I have learned while teaching middle school, especially with beginners, is that playing along can be helpful initially. Haven been an educator for over 20 years, I use many methods geared towards student success. I make use of differentiated instruction to maximize student achievement. The main components of my lessons are tone, embouchure development, proper technique, articulation, and better understanding of how instrument works. Materials for lessons are dependent on student level that will include method books, solos, and supplemental music. After over7+ years of teaching and over 20+ years of musical expereince, I have combined the use of numerous books into my own method. Much of what I have learned also comes from personal expereince. I use audio tracks I record in my studio to give students the experience of playing with other musicians. They practice with their instrument in the track, and I also give them a track without their instrument so they get the feel of being the drummer, or the keyboard player, or the guitarist. Read More

I'm a passionate and driven young musician eager to share the knowledge and experience I have and grow with others through teaching. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree in Bass Trombone Performance at New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts, studying under James Markey, bass trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
