I began teaching in 2014, shortly after graduating high school. I quickly began to enjoy encouraging and mentoring aspiring musicians to keep up with their practices as well as the love for music. I have a wide variety of teaching experiences such as teaching private lessons in home/studios, as well as instructing entire orchestras and wind ensembles. I will share fun and efficient ways to practice so that you get immediate results. If desired, I also guarantee you will be playing a blues and improvising within a maximum of 6 weeks as long as you practice at least 10 minutes, three times a week.  You will have the option of playing along with recordings minus your part so that you can experience the joy of ensemble playing early on in the safety of your own home. I love creating small ensemble groups of students at similar levels and arranging concerts at regular intervals. Most importantly it is a place where students can learn more about themselves, life, and what kind of musicians/artist that they would like to become. The students, parents, and I set goal based on each individual student's musical interest and needs. Every artist is on their own journey. The method of teaching is as follows: 1) assess where the student is in music and in life, 2) ask about goals in music, 3) formulate objective to reach those goals, 4) rethink things when needed (students aren't cookies, so I can't use a cookie cutter). I do focus on things in order though. If you don't know your fundamentals, then that's where we start no matter what.
