Every student is different, so my teaching approach is rarely identical from student to student. Technical training progresses as a student develops motivation through his or her practice habits. I try to encourage practice through journal entry and self-accountability. I also try to make a student's home practice a little more exciting by setting goals and explaining what will be accomplished through achieving these short-term goals. Introducing new concepts while perfecting basic technique is how I try to captivate a student's attention and excitement for music. Read More

Every student is an individual with individual weaknesses in different areas. There is no blanket lesson plan that works for all students. It was a great honor. Late into highschool I was accepted at the DCI CADETS for 3rd trumpet part. This is the second best drum corp (at the time) in the world out of over a dozen different division 1 corps. I unfortunately was not able to perform with them, however it was a great honor just being able to be accepted and to practice with them for 4 months in New Jersey. Read More
