My goal is to always make sure the student feels comfortable, feels heard, and feels prepared for anything I may throw at them. My ultimate goal is to help students develop a love for playing and being around music. The last thing I want is a discouraged student or one that has become bored with music. Therefore, I will set realistic goals for my students so that they are not overwhelmed, but at the same time are constantly engaged and challenged by the material. At the end of eighth grade I was going to quit but my parents encouraged me to try again. When I entered ninth grade I joined the marching band which was a great experience for me. We had a great band that was directed by a great band director. We played at competitions and won awards.
