I have been teaching young people and adults how to play musical instruments for over 20 years. Currently I conduct after school music programs at the University of Memphis Campus School, CTK Lutheran School in Memphis, and Incarnation Catholic School in Collierville. I am currently working on my associates in music, and l plan on working on to receive my bachelor's in music theory and composition. For beginning students enrolled in their school band program, I start with their materials required from class. If a student is not enrolled in a band program, I typically start with Standards of Excellence or Measures of Success methods depending on individual needs. As a result I was named the UTM Community Music Academy's 2016 Teacher of the Year. While in Las Vegas I taught not only high school and middle school students but was the teacher for UNLV's non music major saxophonists as well. In 2017 I was one of the judges for the Clark County (Nevada) Honor Bands.
