Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

My experience with doing private lessons started when my last year at Bethune Cookman to earn a little extra cash in my pocket. I started out teaching beginning elementary students which sharpened up my skills for basic knowledge of the saxophone. As time progressed I started to teach intermediate student so that they can develop the tone and basic technique. I am currently earning my doctorate degree in saxophone performance from Florida State University, studying with Dr. Geoffrey Deibel. I hold degrees from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, studying with Professor Zachary Shemon and from Montclair State University, studying with Professor Stacy Wilson. Throughout my studies, I have garnered awards, including first prize in the Montclair State University Concerto Competition for 2016 and 2017, as well as the Missouri State MTNA Competition in 2018. With beginner saxophone, flute and clarinet students, I like to use 'Standard of Excellence' books (and typically 'Faber Piano Adventures' with beginner piano). I find that these books address the fundamentals, that are crucial to learn while young, in a fun way. Specific interests and styles can be explored too, while at the same time getting a well-rounded musical background. With more experienced players, I use a combination of materials with more emphasis on personal goals and interests. Read More

I have also provided master classes at local highschools in the Miami area and more recently have been a private instructor at a music school located in Miami Lakes.
