I started teaching saxophone performance in 2010 for private students who were looking to improve their skills on the instrument. Starting from my college years, I've been teaching many students performance, arrangement, composition, ear training and harmony. I always put my best effort with every single one of my student. Being a positive and involved teacher helps them feel motivated and makes the learning process much easier. My instruction focuses on fundamentals of the instrument which include: Concept of Sound, Tone Production, Technique, Embouchure, Breathing, Scales/Patterns, Equipment, etc. I also teach musical concepts/Theory which include: Reading, Rhythm, Time, 12 Key Centers, Chord/Scale Relation, Musicality/Expression, Jazz Improvisation, etc. Of course, each lesson is tailored to the individual student's current level and ability, as well as the students learning style. He never would've wanted to sit and practice for hours and hours a day to become who he became.
