For beginning students who are children/teens, I have many music anthologies I have used throughout the many years with age appropriate repertoire. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. My current students (both live and remote)n participate in Zoom performance recitals - although this is optional, it is very important to codify and mark the growth achieved - it is rewarding to have a video recital to be proud of and share with family/friends.
